Shopping with StoryBook Ceramics is very
easy, but if you are new to online shopping we certainly understand that it
can be a little confusing at first. Our "How to Shop" guide is the perfect place to
learn how to shop with us. When shopping online with us, think of our website as
being similar to any normal "brick and mortar" store. You can browse the products
we offer and add them to your shopping cart. Once you are satisfied with your selections, you go to a checkout, make your payment and
then the items belong to you. It's as simple as that when shopping in our
online store.
 Step 1 - Browse the products
 The
Categories
To begin, you will want to use the "Quick Find" function on the left hand
side of the main page to search for specific products, or simply browse
through the products we have available using the category list.
Also located in the left hand column is a "Shop by Price"
menu if you would like to browse through all our items in a particular
price range.
If
you are looking for something in particular you can go straight to the
appropriate category by clicking one of the main categories displayed on the
left hand side of the site. Once inside a category there may be other categories
within them. The subcategories will be displayed in the list, slightly
to the right, under the main category name. You may click on the
subcategory name in the list to keep narrowing down into the appropriate
category for you.
Inside the main category area, you will also see on the screen graphical
icons with the subcategory names. Below the subcategory icons is a table
with the newest products that have been added to the category.
Each subcategory contains the relevant products (see screen shot left). The
products within this category are displayed in a row showing the name of the product,
a small picture of the product, the price of the product and a button that says
"BUY NOW".
From here you can click on a product name to see further information on the product
or you can click the BUY button to add the item directly to your shopping
cart.
The Product Information Screen
The product information screen (shown
to the right) displays a great deal of important information about the
product. Here you will find the product name, description, price, product options,
and related products you might find interesting. It is a lot of information to fit on to one screen, but
it is all important to help you in making your purchasing decisions.
Under the description of
the product, there are multiple thumbnail images that you can click
to show you a larger version of the image in a new window. Under
the thumbnail images you will find a table with related products,
if any exist, a table with any special offers for the product, if any exist, and links to
add the item to your cart, wishlist, or gift registry.
From this screen you can ask
questions about the product by clicking the icon above the image to the
right labeled "Ask a question about this product". This will
take you to a form where you can ask us questions directly about the product if
you need further information. You can add the item to your cart by clicking the
ADD TO CART button. To save the item for purchasing later, or to send the item
to a friend or family member as a gift suggestion, you can add the item to your
wishlist by clicking the button under the thumbnails labeled "Add to

If you are preparing for a wedding, shower, or other
major gift giving event, we also have a partnership with MyGiftList, an online
gift registry offering FREE, Private, Universal Gift Registry with 100's of
participating stores. You may add the product to your existing gift registry, or

 Step 2 - Your shopping cart
 Once you have selected and added all the items you want
to purchase to your shopping cart you should check it and make sure it
is accurate. You can do this by navigating to the shopping cart screen. At the top of the
right hand column on the website, you will see
an area called "My Shopping Cart". This summarises the
contents of your shopping cart. There is a link in the header
bar, located slightly higher on the right side of the
page, that says CART CONTENTS. This link will bring you to the shopping
cart screen where you can check all the items before proceeding to the check
out.
The shopping cart screen (displayed to the left) allows you
to change the quantities of the items in your cart, remove items from your cart, and proceed to the check out. To adjust
the quantity of an item, input a new quantity for the item in the box to
the far right of the
name, then click the button that says "Update Cart". To completely remove an item,
check the little box before the item name, and click the button that says "Update
Cart". Your cart will refresh and the quantity will be reflected.
Storybook Ceramics periodically offers discount coupons on our merchandise.
If you have received a coupon code, you may enter it into the field on the right
hand column in the area labeled, "Couponcode". Once you click the "Continue"
button under the couponcode field, your total will be updated to reflect the
discount.
To leave the shopping cart and continue shopping, click the middle button
labeled, "Continue Shopping."
Once you are happy with the items in your cart and want to
make the purchase click the CHECK OUT button on the right hand side.

Step 3 - Creating a new account If you already have an
account with StoryBook Ceramics, you may enter your e-mail
address and password by clicking the large text at the top of the page
"Login" and the select the SIGN IN option. If you do not have an
account you will need to create one to complete a purchase with us. We
require customer accounts to help minimize the risk of online fraud and
help keep our costs low for our customers.
An account with us is quite simply a place that allows you to
provide all of your personal details which we store for you on our secure
database so that when you make future purchases you do not need to enter in all
the details again. Having an account also comes with some other great features
like a permanent shopping cart (we store the contents of your cart until you
return), access to subscribe to our informative newsletters, access to our
wishlist section, the ability to look at the history of orders you have had with
us, the order tracking facility which allows you to track your orders with us
and much more!
You might feel some understandable concern about us
storing your personal information but let us assure you your information is
safe. On our site uses the latest form of security technology available knows as
a digital certificate which provides our customers with 128-bit digital encryption to
keep your personal details safe while in transit to our server. We have a stated privacy
policy available on the main page of our website. We will never
share, rent or sell your information to any other company or entity online
or offline without your expressed permission.

 Step 4 - Delivery Information - The first step in the checkout
process

This first step in the checkout process shows you the
delivery information and shipping options. You can change the delivery address
if required by clicking the CHANGE ADDRESS button. Your shipping options, and
the shipping cost is also displayed clearly on this screen. Most items can be
shipped by common carrier, UPS/DHL/FedEx or by Priority Mail USPS or Parcel Post
USPS.
StoryBook Ceramics offers international shipping to anywhere in the world,
however, for the sake of accuracy, international ordering is a two step process.
On the Delivery Information screen, if you are an international customer, please
select the Request International Shipping Quote
option. We will contact you within 3 days with
an order total including shipping to your country. Once you approve the total by
email, we will finish processing your order.
Every purchase from us is insured automatically against damage in transit at
no additional cost. Click on the CONTINUE button to progress to the next
step.

Step 5 - Payment Information

This screen allows you to select how you wish to pay for
your order. We offer a variety of methods and you choose your preferred
method. We accept checks, money orders, cashiers checks, PayPal, VISA, MasterCard, and Discover.
When you have selected your preferred
payment option, press the CONTINUE button.
 Step 6 - Order Confirmation

This is the final screen before you confirm your order. This screen
allows you to check your order from top to bottom including products, pricing,
shipping details, payment information etc...
Once you are happy and have read the required terms and conditions
on our site you can confirm your order by pressing the CONFIRM ORDER button at
the bottom of the page.
An e-mail confirming your order will then be sent to you with all of the
information as presented to you on the order confirmation screen.
